HERE WE ARE SEVEN MONTHS LATER...

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. You know you're slacking off when you realize you forgot to blog for a solid seven months and had the time to beat Paper Mario and make a bunch of awesome video games in between. I really need to keep a schedule.

I really did beat Paper Mario, though. I also got almost every single secret exit in Super Mario World, save for the last bit of the Valley of Bowser. I also beat the Special World: without getting a game over. (Okay, I had 40 lives, but not many people have beaten it without getting a game over, right?)

I'm in 8th grade now, and it's okay. I got all A's and B's in my classes, and most of them are accelerated classes (middle school term for honors classes).

I also made a bunch of new games on the computer. I mean real video games.

DON'T EXPECT ME TO BLOG MUCH DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.

Okay, I forgot again. Not only that, I had to do the quarter exams and other stuff, and I got such a big brain cramp from the studying and the exams and the homework and the class work that I got a bit rusty on the retro games. I'm still okay, though, in school and hobbies.

I had a sleepover on Friday with my cousin Trey Damewood. He's really nice, and we share a bunch of things in common. We played some video games, watched TV, and went to the park. (Yes, I care about the real world, not just the virtual world.) It was fun.

I didn't get to play much video games, but it was okay.

Mario Kart 8: I played the Star Cup with Trey, and I wanted to play it with Chase today, but the Wii U wouldn't work on the TV, only the game pad.
Mario Kart Wii: I just felt like it. I beat the Star Cup on 50cc with 60 points (anyone can)
Super Mario Bros. 2: Okay, don't get me wrong, but I got rusty all of the sudden. I have absolutely no idea why.
Super Mario Bros. 3: How I got rusty on this I will never know.
Super Mario World: I beat the first level of the Special World. I tried the second, but I lost.
Super Mario Kart: I only played this to prove to Chase that this was the very first Mario Kart game, and I only played it for a single minute.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star: I beat the first world in about 3 days.

LED RAINBOW SHOWER, FINALLY TALLER THAN KAYLA, SHAVED ICE AND ALMOST BEAT SUPER MARIO WORLD. :)

Last night my step-dad, Sean, hooked up an LED Rainbow Showerhead in our bathroom, and this morning was my first time using it. It's pretty cool. These are the different colors it transitions through. I have to say my favorite color is turquoise, shown here the third picture from the left.

One of my chores is taking food scraps to the composter. Not exactly one of my favorite chores.

Guess what? I'm taller than Kayla! Finally! We've been checking our heights regularly.

And I got some shaved ice from Chase. My favorite flavor is Grape, but I wanted Cherry tonight..

Okay, now the moment you've all been waiting for... video games!!!

Sonic the Hedgehog: I was able to beat level 1. At the end of level 1, there's a gigantic ring at the exit. Jump through it and you'll get to play a bonus game where you try to collect as many rings as you can. I also beat level 2, but I can't beat the boss of world 1 in level 3. It might just be hard. I'm just saying.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels: This one was also hard. You just really need to think. You can warp to world 2 by going up on the ledge, jumping up to the ceiling, running, and finding Warp Zone, but you need to run at full speed ahead and jump at exactly the right moment. I did get to World 2-3, which is a mild improvement, but other than that, there isn't a lot to say.
Super Mario Bros. 2: This one, unfortunately, was also hard. I can barely even beat World 1 yet! On the bright side, I do have a couple of cheats for you. To beat the boss of World 1, Mouser, it's easy. Just throw bombs back at him that he throws at you 3 times. Bombs won't directly hurt him, but the explosion will. I only hit him once before dying. The second cheat is warping to World 4. In World 1-3, make sure you're at the building place with the door potion and the Ninjis and Tweeters guarding it. Go past the building  and you'll see a jar. Set down the potion, zip into Sub-space, pull up some coins if you want, get on the jar, and go into it. It acts like a warp pipe in Super Mario Bros. and will zip you to World 4-1 in only about 5 seconds flat. Literally. Just beware of the slippery ice!

Okay, this is probably starting to get a little boring, even for me, but I'm basically right outside Bowser's front door. I got a little bit burned out, so I skipped Larry of Castle #7. I'll explain how in my next post. I'm still pretty sure I can beat Larry, though. Anyway, once I beat the game, I'll post it.

BEAT ROY OF CASTLE 5, 99 LIVES TOTAL, FOUND CHOCOLATE SECRET. :D

Super Mario World
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
After I got home from my doctor's appointment at 11:00 a.m., me and my mom decided to take some pictures for my blog. Then I decided to play some more Super Mario World. I beat Roy Koopa of Castle #5 before he could even get up the wall! I'd say that that's pretty impressive. Anyway, at about that time, my brother Chase and sister Kayla came home from their mom's house. Chase watched me play, and then when I was with Mom talking about blog stuff, Chase beat the Choco-Ghost House for me. I still think I could have beaten it, though. Any way, I also found the key in Chocolate Island 2 by using a Cape Feather and Yoshi and running full speed ahead into the pipe, then going to the section with the slopes. I used the Paratroopas as "platforms" and zipped into the next pipe with 262 seconds to spare. Just an FYI, you have to have at least 250 seconds on the clock by the second pipe in the level to find the key leading to the secret exit of Chocolate Island 2, thus leading to the Chocolate Secret Level. I got the key, got through the secret exit, paused my game, and started blogging.

FOUND SECRETS IN SUPER MARIO WORLD, 85 LIVES & BEAT 2 WORLDS

Today I played a little bit (okay, a lot) of Super Mario World on my Wii's Virtual Console. I was able to get Star Road Section 1 from the secret exit of Donut Secret House in Donut Plains. After that, I went up to Star World, beat it, then successfully beat the secret section of Vanilla Dome, and beat the two Butter Bridge levels, thus providing a shortcut (sort of) to Ludwig von Koopa of Castle #4, although I didn't attempt to beat him. At least not yet. I went back to Vanilla Dome, beat it, along with Lemmy Koopa of Castle #3, and beat the rest of the Twin Bridges, plus finding the secret exit to the Cheese Bridge Area by flying (with blue Yoshi) under the normal goal gate and going past it to the secret gate, finding a 3-up Moon on the way, and getting to Soda Lake. I beat that, thus unlocking Star Road Section 3. Then I beat Ludwig and went on to the Forest of Illusion, winding my way through it to get to the Blue Switch Palace and Forest Fortress, the second as an attempt to unlock Star Road Section 4. I beat the Blue Switch Palace, beat Forest of Illusion 1, 2, and 3, and the Forest Ghost House, while in the process accumulating around 85 or so lives and the road to Roy Koopa of Castle #5. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to beat the Forest of Illusion and had to get ready for bed.
