WHY I LIKE TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES

In case you wonder why I like video games, I just do. I was 5 years old, almost 6, when my mom married Sean. His house was fun. There was a trampoline, a fort, a loft in my big brother's room, and a shed that was converted to my room once Mom and Sean got married. Best of all, they had a Super Nintendo. I started playing Super Mario because my big brother Chase played it a lot. So, Chase taught me how to play Super Mario, and that's how I started playing video games.

When I was 7, our family got a Wii. It was so cool, I even had Grandma get one. My favorite game at the time was Mario Kart Wii. I was pretty bad at first, but that was because I chose the 150cc engine class every single time.  But then I figured that out, and I got pretty good. Now I'm a pro.

My sister Kayla used to have a DS, so I got a DSi XL for Christmas. I got Super Mario 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, and Picross 3D. That was the smartest idea ever. I still have it. (As of December 18, 2014)

I got a Game Boy right before summer camp. I had a bunch of books packed and mom got me that for camp. She only got 2 games, and I found out a year and a half later that one was for the Game Boy Color, but I still have it.

I found my big brother Dean's Game Boy Color in the jeep. I was lucky because I had to go to a concert. Plus, it had Pokemon Gold in there! I still have it.

Chase gave me his Game Boy Advance because he didn't use it any more. That's why I got Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

DON'T EXPECT ME TO BLOG MUCH DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.

Okay, I forgot again. Not only that, I had to do the quarter exams and other stuff, and I got such a big brain cramp from the studying and the exams and the homework and the class work that I got a bit rusty on the retro games. I'm still okay, though, in school and hobbies.

I had a sleepover on Friday with my cousin Trey Damewood. He's really nice, and we share a bunch of things in common. We played some video games, watched TV, and went to the park. (Yes, I care about the real world, not just the virtual world.) It was fun.

I didn't get to play much video games, but it was okay.

Mario Kart 8: I played the Star Cup with Trey, and I wanted to play it with Chase today, but the Wii U wouldn't work on the TV, only the game pad.
Mario Kart Wii: I just felt like it. I beat the Star Cup on 50cc with 60 points (anyone can)
Super Mario Bros. 2: Okay, don't get me wrong, but I got rusty all of the sudden. I have absolutely no idea why.
Super Mario Bros. 3: How I got rusty on this I will never know.
Super Mario World: I beat the first level of the Special World. I tried the second, but I lost.
Super Mario Kart: I only played this to prove to Chase that this was the very first Mario Kart game, and I only played it for a single minute.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star: I beat the first world in about 3 days.

OKAY, I HAD TO DO SCHOOL AND JUST FORGOT.

Okay, I got so caught up in school that I just forgot. I'm sorry. Just don't expect me to blog much over the school year. On the bright side, I did play a whole boatload of video games; and beat Kirby's Dream Land without getting a game over, beating Chapter 1 in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, getting the third piece of the Beanstar in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, beating the NES version of Donkey Kong on my Wii Virtual Console, getting plush toys resembling the Koopalings, and much more. Here's all the games I played in the last bit.

Okay, that was a ton. It's been a month, though. Hopefully this doesn't get too whacky.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, the post title might have looked like I'm overreacting a little, but I'm just really glad I got to play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I finally got the 16 MB memory card, popped it into the Nintendo GameCube, and played away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door: I have to say, this is great! Right now I'm in Hooktail's Castle. I just saved, and things are going good.

I ORDERED A GAMECUBE MEMORY CARD

Okay, so you want to know why I don't have anything mentioning how cool Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is, or anything like that? That's because I forgot to buy a GameCube Memory card, which explains why I couldn't save. I ordered it, and now I have to wait until Friday.

On a side note, I started 7th grade at Lied Middle School in Las Vegas.

I GOT THE GAME CUBE STUFF!

Guess what? I got the stuff for the Nintendo Game Cube!!! I didn't get to play it yet because we were busy, my parents went out on a date, and I don't know how to plug in a Game Cube. I mostly just played the computer while I waited.

I GOT A NINTENDO GAME CUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I forgot to blog for 2 weeks. Everything kind of went out of whack because we had to paint the entire kitchen, so our house is a bit messy, but not too much. Anyway, guess what? I got a Nintendo Game Cube!!! My brother's friend brought over his Game Cube, but he didn't have the cords or anything. I just bought some cords, a Game Cube controller, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. They come between Saturday and Wednesday.

Mario Kart 8: I got past the 50cc engine class. I also played with my mom, but she was ready to barf when we finished the 50cc Leaf Cup.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga: I got through Little Fungitown, Guffawha Ruins, S.S. Chuckola, and Gwarhar Lagoon, while obtaining a Beanstar Piece in the process.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star: I managed to survive Goomba Fortress and got to World 2-3, but getting through it is super hard.
